Our Programmes

The Feeding Programme
-We try to offer 2 meals a day to 475 students.
-This costs $14,250 monthly.
-We need donations to help sustain this programme.

The Junior High School Programme

- There are 55 Students which are all given free secondary school tuition and food.

-We have 4 rooms. 3 of these rooms serve as classrooms while the other will be a computer room. This room does not currently have any computers inside as of now. We need 27 computers for this room. At the moment we have 2 computers. One is for the teacher and the rest is shared between 55 students. This makes it challenging to distribute the time used on the computer between each student.

-We need at least 3 science laboratories with equipment and chemicals.

-We have 5 teachers who we pay $165 a month. This is a real challenge to sustain their wages.

The Secondary School Sponsorship Programme

-We have 16 students sponsored in 10 secondary schools.

-We need $1000 to sponsor them each year. We need a lot of help with this.

-From the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) candidates, we still have 13 students who are not able to join secondary schools due lack of school fees due their poor background- most of them being orphans. We are appealing to the world on their behalf for help. Each needs $1,000 per year to join a secondary school.

The Rescue of Gender Based Violence Programme

-On his way to work at TFEC Charles was always stopped by three girls by the names of Caro, Martha and Charity. The girls would always attempt to convince Charles to buy different types of fruits and foods. One day, Charles was curious about their situation as to why they are selling products at such a young age instead of being in education. He approached one of them who initially was fearful and retreated to her shelter where more sellers resided. Upon inquiry with the other sellers, Charles was given permission to hear her story. The girls name was Caro, and she began crying, saying she doesn't like talking to men in private. Charles soon learned that the girl was a rape victim. This interaction provided Charles with the opportunity to speak with the girls while under the watchful eye of the women sellers' leadership. Charles discovered that the girls were all victims of gender-based violence, being abused by close relatives or guardians, and dropping out of school at various points when they became pregnant.

-They had nowhere to call their own as orphans and had to be used by other traders to sell and collect a commission in the evenings in order to feed their children.  Despite the odds, all of the girls expressed a wish to return to school if they received support and someone to care for their children.

-We opted to accommodate them at Township Foundation Education Centre and enrolled them in a local secondary school at form 1 (grade 9) where they return in the evening to care for their babies.

-We need your help to support this. It will cost us $6,000 per year to support this for the three girls and their newborns.

-The assistance would be priceless.

The Agriculture Programme

-We do crop farming.

-We have 4 dairy cows for milk production.

-We target to have 100 dairy cows in the next 5 years if we get support.

-We need financial support to achieve this.

The farm is composed of 4 dairy cows and calves. The cows produce milk which is used in the centre. Surplus milk is sold to support the feeding programme.
